LOPEC is the leading exhibition for printed electronic taking place in Munich. It is a yearly event combining a three-day conference and two-day exhibition and it took place in Munich. LOPEC closed with exhibition records regarding the number of exhibitors, exhibition space as well as number of visitors. The participants came from 51 countries worldwide.
The main focus for market application is currently coming from the automotive industry. In addition, applications such as touch displays, sensor tags, printed circuits, RFID technology and energy related topics are becoming mass market applications. It is visible that numerous industries rely on printed and flexible electronics in their innovation process regarding sensors for medical applications, smart textiles and OLEDs for the automotive industry. Science and industry provided important stimuli to the subject of mobility with the future topic of 3D structural electronics.
KROENERT had a record of visitors at its booth and also recognized the trends of the fair as most visitors were interested in topics related to printing application for electronic, to organic PV and applications for packaging and barrier films. Therefore, the shown OPV applications of KROENERTs customer SUNEW Brazil attracted the attention of many customers.
KROENERT is also actively involved in the organization of the LOPEC, because Andrea Glawe is the director of the strategic advisory board. Besides Dr. Tarik Vardag, CEO of KROENERT, gave the opening plenary presentation at the conference. He spoke about “Development of new processes and optimization of existing processes - a comprehensive approach to innovation for the converting & coating industry”. The focus was to explain how two different approaches of innovation can be combined under one cooperate umbrella.
