Humidification Systems
The increasingly higher machine speed made it necessary to adapt the steam humidification in coating machines to regulate the humidity and correct the horizontal position of paper materials.
Kroenert successfully uses systems of DRYTEC, a subsidiary company of the Kroenert Group, as optimum solutions for complex requirements.
These humidifiers are positioned vertically and operate with saturated steam. A number of nozzles distribute the steam evenly over the total width of the web. Due to the downstream cooling the steam condenses directly in the paper.
The DRYTEC steam humidifier systems operate according to one of the following three operating principles:
- Humidification of one side, followed by cooling with cooling roller
- Humidification of both sides, followed by cooling with cooling roller
- Humidification of one side with simultaneous cooling
