Type 400/400 D

The coating systems 400 and 400 D are robust and versatile roller and nozzle coating systems specially designed for application of PS hotmelts and UV-cured acrylate adhesives. In general, these systems are used for production of self-adhesive products such as labels and adhesive tape. Depending on the specifications, either the roller or the nozzle coating system can be used to achieve optimum results. Production is possible up to a working width of 3,000 mm and a maximum speed of 1,000 m/min, with a viscosity of up to 500,000 mPas. The minimum coating weight is approx. 10 g/m2, the maximum coating weight is approx. 200 g/m2.

Roller Coating:

• Compact machine layout due to overhead positioning of the coating unit
• Backing roller must not be retracted, since the compound supply system can be adjusted to the working width

Nozzle application:

• Integration of approved nozzle application techniques
• Changeable lip design with roller bar and different lip geometries
• High-precision adjustment of distance, angle, and height
