Further News

October, 2007
The Kroenert Group will debut as an exhibiting company with its own stand on the International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber in Düsseldorf, Hall 4, Stand E13
Right now, more than 60% of the production lines delivered by the Kroenert Group are designed for refining and laminating films. Characteristics common to all production lines are high-end coating and drying capabilities and excellent winding characteristics. The Kroenert Group also has tried and approved methods to deal with tricky processes such as 3 µPET or refining in clean rooms. This lists of customers using our film refining technology is long.
Many of today's innovations and cost-reducing production solutions would not have been possible without the Kroenert Technology Center . The KTC offers the world's widest test line with a working width of 1,300 mm. This line can run speeds of up to 1,600 m/min to determine e.g. how to best apply 0.2 g/m² dry coating weight to improve the barrier characteristics of films or how intelligent drying procedures can help dry thick coatings with a dry coating weight of 100 - 500 g/m² without creating bubbles. September, 2007
The Kroenert Group will debut as an exhibiting company in Hall 6 Stand H165 of the LabelExpo 2007 in Brussels .
The fastest and widest coating machines in world today were manufactured and delivered by the Kroenert Group.
To become the number one, tried and approved coating technology had to be taken a step forward:

  • 6 roller system for solvent-free silicone-treatment -> comparison between 5 and 6 rollers
  • mono- and multilayer curtain coat technology for aqueous acrylate adhesion emulsion -> multilayer-curtain (available 11.2007, only in German language)
  • coating applications with pressure chamber blade for grid rollers (acrylate adhesion emulsion, topcoat and primer) -> MPG 600.pdf

Silicone-treatment speeds of up to 1,600 m/min and adhesion emulsion speeds of up to 1,200 m/min were achieved in trial runs at the Kroenert Technology Center . And we haven't maxed out yet! The R&D carried out with partners in the silicone and adhesion emulsion industry at the Kroenert Technology Center clearly show that this is a trend.
