" Applications systems with gravure rollers are today’s standard at coating and laminating machines but the latest curtain coating technology becomes an interesting option for several applications as well.
This speech should provide an overview from a machine builder stand point regarding the differences and limits of both techniques.
This comparison will show off the benefits and disadvantages of both systems. Where are the limits of each system? Which parameters need to be analysed to qualify the right applications system?
Therefore technical and commercial backgrounds will be explained in comparison as well as further hints provided to choice the adequate technique of each individual product."

Kroenert conveyed the BMB mastercoat devision to ANDRITZ-BMB AG
The KROENERT affiliated company Bachofen+Meier AG, Bülach (BMB) conveyed by October 1 st , 2006 the area of Paper Coating (Mastercoat) to the newly founded ANDRITZ-BMB AG.
ANDRITZ AG, Graz is one of the biggest producers of machines for the pulp - and paper-industry and intends to extend its position in the area of Paper Refinement.
Like for the Converting, BMB has also in the Paper Coating a long tradition. Jointly with Andritz and its worldwide service network, the strengths in the paper area can be expanded.
Together with the head of the Group, KROENERT, the division of Converting of BMB will be strengthened further.
BMB is supplying worldwide complete coating – and laminating lines, within the KROENERT Group of Companies BMB is manufacturing as a Center of Competence all unwinders and rewinders.
In close cooperation with KROENERT, the largest manufacturer of coating machines in the area of Converting and DRYTEC, the specialist for drying – and rehumidifying technique, BMB remains for all customers and interested companies the reliable partner.
The firms BMB and ANDRITZ-BMB are long-term committed to the location Bülach and make joint use of the existing infrastructure.

Seminar in Teipei, Taiwan
At Taiwan Tape Conference at the World Trade Center in Taipei on November 1 + 2, Sales Manager Asia Pacific of The Kroenert Group of companies, Mr. Frank Schäfer, presented cost efficient engineering solutions for the tape manufacturing industries.
The demand in quality and mostly low-cost production of the tape remains, and by the use of tailor-made, high-efficient and reliable KROENERT coating machines with quick product changes these demands can be met.
KROENERT presented for instance a simultaneous double sided coating head for primer and release coating as well as a comma bar coating head for adhesive coatings with bending compensation as well as closed loop coating weight control.
Efficient drying systems, delivered by the affiliated company DRYTEC and reliable and state of the art unwinders and rewinders, manufactured by Bachofen and Meier (BMB) completing the package the Kroenert Group of companies is offering to our customers.

2006/2007 Expansion on the Headquarters areal in Hamburg
After the inauguration of the new administration building and the Technology Center (see below) Kroenert is continuing its expansion with new production halls. All activities will be completed by 2007.

is the title of the 31st Symposium on Adhesives and Refining in Munich. Kroenert will again attend to the symposium with a guest lecture.
