The drives of the future
|
Everything from one source is a basic principle of the service offered to its customers by the Maschinenfabrik Max Kroenert. Only in this way can the optimal compatibility of individual components be ensured. This also applies to the drives installed in the machines. Since 1919 ZAE Antriebssysteme have been producing high-performance, robust and innovative drive systems. The company is a Kroenert sister company and is located on the firm’s premises in Hamburg, Germany. ZAE-Antriebe keeps Kroenert and BMB machines running.
|
ZAE and Baumüller have made available to Kroenert, with immediate effect, a new development: a PM synchronized-drive motor with two-stage spur-bevel gearing. This drive motor pushes performance to levels not achieved before.
| |
Operating levels up to 90%
Productive operating levels of up to 90% enable, at full power, a measurable contribution to cost reduction due to significant savings in the consumption of electricity. In addition the motor’s low CO2 emmissions contribute to environmental protection.

Clean room requirements
The sealed, smooth surfaces not only afford the drive motor optimal protection from penetrating liquids, but also comply with the guidelines for Clean Rooms as specified by the GMP and FDA.
No cooling fins and fans
Because of the high operating levels of up to 90%, surface temperature do not exceed 75°C, even at full power. Therefore cooling fins and fans are unnecessary.
Very low-maintenance design
The life-long lubrication of the plant ensures that the drive motor is very low on maintenance. If the ZAE-recommended lubricants are used, an oil change only becomes necessary at 20,000 hours – setting a new benchmark in the field of low-maintenance drives.
Thanks to this list of advantages, an investment in a PM Synchronous Drive Motor with two-stage spur-bevel gearing remains worthwhile despite the expensive construction process. The reduction in energy consumption, low maintenance costs and very rare breakdowns enable the amortization of the costs within the space of one year.
