This year Kroenert and BMB will again be participating in the International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber “K” in Düsseldorf. We will be presenting our innovative machine concepts for the processing of artificial films from 27.10 to 03.11.2010.
At this trade fair the coating and laminating industry finds answers which go beyond the standard parameters, to questions relating to machine construction technology. Using the title, “Coating and Laminating adds value to plastic films”, Kroenert and BMB are presenting the advantages of their specialized machines:
- High Availability
The machines are characterized by a very short downtime for width and material changes, with times of ≤ 3 min. Films and flow materials with web tensioning of up to10 N/1.400 mm can be handled with ease.
- Low Production Costs
The use of thicker and more rigid rollers enables lower coating weights and tolerance cross sections of ≤ 3 %. Winder-optimized solutions such as unwinders with automatic standby notification and rewinders for wrap-free winding, guarantee minimal material loss.
- Short Amortization Period
The operating efficiency of the machines enables rapid refinancing of the investment. The costs incurred for the additional functionalities (as compared to standard machines) can be amortized within one to two years.
In addition, Kroenert and BMB will be introducing the following machines and components at the fair:
- Tailor-made coating heads for film stretching units for the double-sided coating of BOPP and PET films.
- The extremely flexible LabCo narrow web machine which, using web working widths of up to 500 mm and speeds of up to 100 m/min, is financially viable for even the smallest applications. This machine is of interest particularly for entry-level operators or the introduction & development of new products. On completion of the trial phase all application and drying technology and data can be transferred directly to machines with wider working widths.
- Coating heads with simultaneous gravure roller coating technology for the simultaneous coating of front and back of plastic films. Thanks to this revolutionary technology only one additional coating head and one air flotation dryer are necessary.
- Contact-free coating systems with curtain and bead coating processes as alternatives to gravure rollers, multiple rollers or doctor blades.
- Dryers which remain highly accessible at high production levels through parallel lifting of the upper section of the dryer. In the double-glazed version an additional function is offered - constant observation of the complete length of the web.
- Winders and unwinders with automatic roll change and good splice rates of up to 99.9%.
